Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber SME, ideally with specialised experience in Okta to join our customer's team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Cyber Security, particularly in system administration, identity management, and security protocols, with a focus on implementing and managing Okta's platform.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise expertise in Cyber Security to implement and manage security protocols and policies within Okta, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant frameworks.
- Configure and manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions within Okta to enhance security measures and protect user identities.
- Implement and optimise OpenID authentication for secure and seamless user authentication processes within Okta's environment.
- Configure workflows and manage the lifecycle of user accounts within Okta, ensuring efficient onboarding and offboarding processes while maintaining security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs securely and efficiently into existing systems and workflows.
- Conduct onboarding activities, including setting up user accounts, configuring access permissions, and ensuring adherence to security compliance standards.
- Provide incident explanations and address challenges related to security incidents or vulnerabilities within Okta's platform, as raised by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
- Stay updated on emerging Cyber Security threats, trends, and technologies specific to Okta's platform, to proactively identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Act as a mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the Cyber Security team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement specific to Okta's environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Okta certifications) preferred.
- English speaking and documentation proficiency.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Security with a focus on system administration, identity management, and security protocols.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions within IAM solutions.
- Proficiency in configuring workflows and managing user account lifecycles within Okta, with a strong understanding of Okta's functionalities and best practices.
- Strong understanding of API integration principles and experience in securely integrating APIs into existing systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy and initiative, specifically within Okta's ecosystem.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail, focusing on Okta-specific solutions and configurations.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
